Rachel Levine
Director
Rachel Levine has almost 20 years of experience working at various New York City government agencies, including the Department of Homeless Services, the NYC Office of Management and Budget, and the Human Resources Administration. In additional to focusing on learning about the myriad of services provided by the NYC social service agencies, during her years of government service, Rachel also honed her budgeting, administrative and management skills.

After working at the the CUNY School of Professional Studies as Associate Dean for Administration and Finance, Rachel transitioned into the not for profit sector. For three years, Rachel served as the first ever Chief Operating Officer for The Door, a unique youth development organization, Broome Street Academy, an affiliated charter school; and University Settlement, the nation’s oldest settlement house. As the primary liaison between program areas and administrative team, she worked to improve processes, strengthen relationships, mitigate risk, enhance accountability, and build a unified administrative team across all partner organizations.

In September, 2021, Rachel became Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Executive Director of Nazareth Housing, a human services organization focusing on housing stability, food security, economic empowerment and supportive housing. In July, 2022 she came the Executive Director of Nazareth Housing. Rachel started power lifting in early 2021 and continues to find joy and strength every time she hits the gym.
