Dianna Scotece

Founder and Executive Director

Dianna Scotece is a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She holds a B.S. in Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina. In her 25-plus-year career, she has managed corporate and commercial gyms, taught fitness classes, and is a sought-after personal trainer for individuals and groups.

Dianna enjoys teaching women strength training, using barbells and dumbbells to communicate and instill the virtues of weight lifting. This same passion has propelled her participation in bodybuilding competitions, marathons, and Olympic weightlifting at the National Masters Level.

In 2017, Dianna created Women of Iron, a power-lifting-focused event for women ages 50 and up. Seeing these women rejoice, thrive, and build a community as they practiced and executed deadlifts, squats, and bench presses empowered Dianna to widen her scope of influence.

In 2019, in an emerging collaboration, Dianna worked closely with Sanctuary for Families, New York’s leading service provider for survivors of gender-based violence to develop a pilot program to educate survivors to use weight training. This 9-week program served as a vehicle to create physical and mental empowerment for participants and its success inspired Dianna to create M.I.N.E.
